Afternoon everybody !
On this sleepy Saturday we are listening to Metronomy and getting extremely toasty with the latest knitwear and Stairwell Exhibition to come our way.
First off, it must be said.. Lisa Chau, oh so stylish and a dream to work with. Lisa is the designer behind GENERICSACCESSORIES (click to access the facebook page) and recently put together what she called…
THE WONDER YEARS – Sweater and Scarf Stairwell Exhibition
“Featuring all my favorite old school style knits, ZANTHUS & GENERICS pays homage to my dreamiest, happiest childhood memories growing up in suburban Perth
in the 80’s and 90’s in the form of sweaters, scarves and all things warm and fuzzy. Like a trip down memory lane, this colorful capsule collection is a reminder of my most simplistic joys …
Skipping to Ring-a-Rosie during recess and eating fairy bread without the crust to the adolescent days spent coining $1 tumblers & folding knitted sweaters at the Walcott St Laundromat.”
An impromptu launch night was held last week and let me tell you, Lisa is indeed the hostest with the mostest. Coloured popcorn, fantales, Oreos, wafers, Arnotts biscuits, chocolate crackle, raspberry tarts and musk sticks! To drink, homemade mulled wine served in retro mugs. The exhibition is running all through July and I insist you come down and check out the knitted goods. Here’s a photographic sneak preview.
